Braille Trail

Where we went:  Braille Trail
What went wrong:  So short we wanted more
What we did right: Selected something very easy for guests unaccustomed to a lot of exercise at altitude.
How you can avoid mistakes: Make sure you consider the physical fitness of everyone on the hike.

The Braille Trail is a .6 mile Nature Loop, with informational signs and a guide cable for non-sighted persons to enjoy hiking.  It's also a great taste of the mountains for those unable to manage a long, strenuous hike.

The Braille Trail begins and ends in the same parking lot as the Chavez Trail and Beaver Brook Trail.

Interpretive signs are also in Braille.
Cross the bridge and turn left to return to the parking lot.
The Beaver Brook Trail heads off to the right.

A meadow with picnic tables and a restroom is also to the right.

Benches provide rest stops along the way.

Would we hike this trail again?  Not by itself, unless under similar circumstances - an easy place to take guests.
